Description:
A three-dimensional EFlo model was developed to predict the temperature distribution for the connector. The thermal solution for this problem requires a knowledge of heat generation distribution due to the self-heating of the connector as electrical current flows through it. Loads and Boundary Conditions:
  • Natural Convection to ambient at 20°C
  • Center of connector fixed at 20°C
  • Sides modeled using Links at 20°C
  • 250 Amps enter from two sides
  • 500 Amps leaving center of connector
