Specify the plane that to generate convections within. Any
plane less than the minimum dimension allowed given will not have a convection
created. Specify the convection value that will be used for all the
convections in this region. Creating multiple spatial convections will immediately create
convections in the model that can be modified and deleted. Otherwise the
convections will not be created until the input for the solver is created.
Please refer to the main Boundary
Conditions page for an explanation of the standard components of the
boundary condition forms.
| Plane: All surfaces within the
bounds of the specified region that touch air will have a convection
created. |
 |
| Convection Surface Tolerance: The
"Min. Dimension Allowed" is the smallest size of any given dimension of
a surface that will have a convection created. Anything smaller than the
dimension will be ignored. |
| Surface Normal to: This tells which
surface directions should have convections created. |
| Convection Value: The convections
can all be defined by an h value or a library or user defined
correlation can be used. |
 |
| Convection Multiplier: |
| Ambient Temperature: The ambient temperature can be constant or can be
calculated as a part of the solution if variable button is selected.
Note: You can not assign a functional variation to the ambient
temperature in this boundary condition. |
| Create Multiple Spatial Convections:
If this is unselected, the regions will not be calculated until the
solver is run. If this is selected then the individual convection bcs
will be created immediately. These can then be viewed from the
Convection form |
