BCs - Current:

This form is used to apply current to a plane normal to a coordinate axis for models requiring parallel Electrical/Thermal analysis. Please refer to the main Boundary Conditions page for an explanation of the standard components of the boundary condition forms.

Plane: Currents can either be associated to surfaces (Associtated to Geometry) or to 2-D planar regions (Specified Region).

Specified Region: Direction: The direction of the current flow. + for positive coordinate direction and - for the negative coordinate direction( e.g. +x or -x)

Assoc. to Geom: The direction of the current will go away from the solid of the surface. To have current into the solid, give a negative current value

Current: positive if going out of the solid, negative if going into the solid.
